Mr. Vikas Bhatia is the Deputy General Manager at Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd., where he has played a pioneering role in shaping the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability initiatives. A highly passionate and committed CSR professional, Mr. Bhatia was entrusted with the responsibility of community development even before the term “CSR” was formally recognized in corporate India.

Over the years, he has made significant contributions toward uplifting the living standards of rural communities by connecting them to education, skill development, sustainable livelihoods, environmental protection, ecological balance, rural sports, rehabilitation, and women empowerment initiatives. His efforts led to the establishment of a formal CSR and Sustainability division at Chambal Fertilisers, and he is credited with diversifying the company’s social initiatives into a broad spectrum of socio-economic development programs.

A firm believer in the Right to Education for All, Mr. Bhatia has been instrumental in transforming the education ecosystem in project areas, bringing about measurable and lasting improvements. His impactful work earned him a place among the “50 Best CSR Leaders of India” for the year 2014-15. He was also honoured by the Government of Rajasthan for his contributions to educational development in rural regions.

Mr. Bhatia is a frequent speaker and panellist at industry forums, academic institutions, and professional bodies, where he shares insights drawn from his extensive experience. Recently, he has been entrusted with overseeing Corporate Affairs and managing the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme at Chambal Fertilisers, further expanding his role in driving impactful engagement between industry and society.
