Sue Stephenson

Founder | Strategies for Service, Co-Founder | IMPACT2030

With more than 25 years of experience in the fields of corporate responsibility and human resources, Sue Stephenson is the Founder of Strategies for Service, helping companies develop strategic approaches to creating both positive societal impact and business value.

In 2015, Sue co-founded IMPACT2030, a private sector led collaboration with the United Nations with the unique mission to activate private sector employees through skills-based employee volunteering programs to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The organization is facilitating a cross-sector movement to drive collective action and activate employee volunteer resources to advance these Global Goals. Sue served as IMPACT2030’s Interim CEO from June 2017 to December 2019 and is a member of the organization’s Board of Directors.

From 2000 to March 2016, Sue was a senior executive with The Ritz-Carlton, reporting to the President and COO in two roles, each focused on expanding the company’s “Serve with Purpose” philosophy. While leading The Ritz-Carlton global Human Resources division, she provided strategic direction to strengthen the company’s legendary commitment to employee engagement and customer service excellence. In her subsequent role, Sue was charged with developing and integrating corporate citizenship strategies into the company’s service culture, business operations, and success metrics.

Sue was born in the United Kingdom and lives in Savannah, USA, with her husband Robert.
