Mr. Ashwini Saxena serves as CEO GMR Varlakshmi Foundation. Prior to this, he transformed the JSW Foundation as its CEO. He was also the Founding Board Director of JSW Shakti, Board Director JSW SWPL and other such trusts & companies. In his 32+ years-long career with organisations such as UNIDO, IFC (World Bank) and corporates, he has worked across India & Africa, leading MSME development/ CSR/ Sustainability programs and has championed IFC’s Sustainability Tools in South Asia. With several publications to his credit, he frequently contributes to various Task Forces, Advisory Committees and Jurys. He has served as Chairman CII Western Region CSR Committee. He is currently a member of CII National Task Forces of Water, Northeast Development Council, and Rural Livelihoods. Besides, he serves on the jury of India Sanitation Collation (ISC), Social Alpha, Yuva unltd & others. He is also advisor to India International Centre For CSR (IICSR) and speaks at various forums along with guest lectures at IIMs & IITs. He is a Certified ESG Director from the Institute of Directors (IOD) and holds Master’s degrees in Geology, Business Management and a Certificate in CSR Leadership from the University of Geneva.
