Mr. Jagannath Sahoo joined SBI Foundation as President & Chief Operating Officer in June 2023. Hailing from Sinapali, Nuapada District of Odisha, his early years were spent in a humble and nurturing environment, which instilled in him a strong sense of community and social responsibility. With a postgraduate diploma in Business Management, he brings in more than 25 years of experience.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jagannath Sahoo has held several crucial positions within the Bank, showcasing his versatility and leadership skills. He has served as Branch Manager (BM), Faculty, Regional Manager (RM), Assistant General Manager (Human Resources) in the Bhopal Circle, and most recently as Deputy General Manager (Business & Operations) in the Pune Module.

Beyond his banking career, Jagannath Sahoo harbours a deep passion for the social sector. He strongly believes in inclusive and sustainable development, aiming to uplift the marginalised and underprivileged sections of society. His focus lies in three crucial areas: Education, Child Care, and Environment. He recognises that these pillars are interlinked and hold the key to building a sustainable and progressive society. By investing in education, nurturing children’s potential, and preserving the environment, he aims to create a future where all individuals can thrive and lead fulfilling lives.

As he forays into the social sector, he envisions a Foundation driven by a passionate and dedicated team, bound by a common goal of making a meaningful impact on society. With a heart that cares deeply for social causes, he aims to channel his experiences and knowledge from the banking sector towards the greater good. He aspires to foster a collaborative spirit that brings together people from diverse backgrounds to create positive change. One of his top priorities is to enhance the trust among the NGO partners. He believes that lasting change can only occur when stakeholders collaborate and work together seamlessly. By establishing trust and transparent communication channels, he seeks to forge long-lasting partnerships that can drive inclusive and sustainable development initiatives forward.
