Sanish Kulkarni

Sanish Kulkarni leads the Human Development vertical at the AGNIi Mission: a programme of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India and is one of the nine missions under the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC). The Mission is executed at Invest India.

Sanish’s work as Lead-Human Development at AGNIi entails leveraging the indigenous technologies for driving sustainable impact in the lives of the people. These indigenous technologies range from advanced emerging tech to frugal, grassroots innovations. He focuses on the intersections of social impact and technology which could propel the human centred sectors like handicrafts, handloom and climate adaptive livelihoods. He drives the partnerships with key government agencies in the Indian Himalayan Region especially with Government of Jammu & Kashmir. Sanish also drives the strategic communications at AGNIi Mission.

Sanish has been a social entrepreneur prior to joining AGNIi where his enterprise focused on holistic rehabilitation of children in conflict with the law using digital skills like graphic designing, video editing. He has completed his Masters in Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship from TISS with a gold medal and Bachelors of Mass Media (Advertising). He has been guiding the non-profits with branding and communications. His diverse set of academic qualifications enable him to effectively communicate the social impact by leveraging latest digital technologies like Augmented Reality.
