Vikas Chawla

With a remarkable encompassing leadership roles in various countries, he brings valuable experience as a seasoned professional. He is known for building highly engaged & winning teams and achieving breakthrough growth. Before joining Compass, he was as an entrepreneur who built a healthy beverage brand, Raskik, a coconut water-based juice, scaling it to over 35,000 outlets before it was acquired by Reliance.

Prior to this, Mr. Chawla had a fulfilling tenure at The Coca-Cola Company, where he excelled in mergers and acquisitions and held diverse leadership roles across India and Europe. He led the operations for Coca-Cola in India for seven years and tripled its retail penetration. His last role at Coca-Cola was that of Managing Director for Southeast Europe, leading the business to double-digit growth across a dozen countries. He has used innovation as a key pillar of growth across all his businesses, which include innovations across product, packaging and marketing. His educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, USA and the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Harvard Business School, Boston.

Passionate about driving social impact, Mr. Chawla felt a strong pull back to India after his global experiences. He firmly believes in India’s potential as a growth market and it is a unique opportunity for Compass Group to establish a meaningful and impactful presence. He wants to position Compass as a brand that resonates with Indian values while maintaining its global identity and aims to be recognised as an organisation that deeply cares about societal issues. His objective is not just to enter the market but to make a significant impact that exceeds the set benchmarks while aligning with the clients’ needs.
