These SABERA trophy winners have been relentlessly working in helping put India on the road to development in alignment with the Sustainable Development goals.
The list is in alphabetical order and t includes awardees from the categories Promising Social leader – under 30 years of age, Social Leaders, Change Makers, as well as Responsible Business Leader & Lifetime achievement awardee.
Abhishek Dubey (Promising Social Leader) is the founder of Muskaan Dreams, an organization leveraging technology, IOT, and chatbots to enhance the learning experience of underprivileged children in government schools.
Mayank Tiwari (Promising Social Leader) founded ReshaMandi India’s first and largest farm to fashion digital ecosystem for the natural fiber supply chain.
Meetali Anup Sinha (Social Leader) is the founder of Under the Tree. The underprivileged children from the immigrant worker communities come to Under The Tree for a couple of hours to study, the curriculum is flexible and formed according to their learning ability.
Naman Gupta (Promising Social Leader) is the founder of Code Effort Private Limited, which works on an end-to-end solution to efficiently recycle cigarette buds into multiple products – such as home decor, toys, and mosquito repellants.
Nand Kishore Chaudhary (Lifetime Achievement) is Chairman and MD of the social impact venture Jaipur Rugs Company which has impacted the lives of 40,000 rural artisans spread across villages in North and West India out of which 80% of artisans are women and about 7000 are tribals.
Dr. Neelam Gupta (Social Leader) founded AROH Foundation a multispectral NGO adopting a life cycle approach. From maternal healthcare to infant care, education of the girl child, vocational training, and skilling on the one hand to providing access to water, and sanitation, and improving literacy & financial skills on the other.
Nimisha Varma (Promising Social Leader)is the Founder of Aloe Ecell, the world’s first 100% eco-friendly and non-hazardous 1.5V AA sized batteries using Aloe vera which can be used as a replacement for the existing hazardous dry cell batteries at 10% cheaper cost and 1.5X more durability.
Rachana R (Social Leader) founded Chiranthana which uses an experiential learning technique to teach children with special needs after her daughter was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder.
Rakesh Khatri ( Change Maker) was startled by the alarming decline in the population of House sparrows so he started working on providing them with spaces where they would be able to nest. That’s when he founded the eco Roots Foundation
Sanjiv Mehta (Responsible Business Leader) is the CEO and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). Under his leadership, HUL is rapidly realizing its vision to improve environmental health and contribute towards a more socially inclusive world.
Sanskriti Dawale (Promising Social Leader) is the Founder and CEO of Thinkerbell Labs which is a tech-driven organization building innovative accessible solutions in efforts to make education inclusive for the visually impaired.
Vidya Rajput ( Change Maker) is a transgender activist from Chhattisgarh. Vidya was instrumental in the movement which led the Chattisgarh Government to create a Third gender welfare board as well as include third gender in the school curriculum.
SABERA thas been painstakingly identifying and acknowledging Social Leaders as Real heroes making a change, directly making a social impact such that future generations inherit a thriving planet Earth.
