Social impact awards SABERA aim to spotlight the spirit of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ in its sixth edition

Invest India, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi: The sixth edition of SABERA shortlisted entries are appended after a rigorous 2 tier process that was concluded at the Invest India Office today. SABERA, which stands for Social and Business Enterprise Responsible Awards, endeavors to highlight the nation’s self-reliability and sustainable growth with this year’s theme. The initiative launched by UN Women awardee, Suparnaa Chadda in 2018, has become synonymous with purpose. SABERA is a one-of-its-kind annual social impact award that highlights sustainable development initiatives by corporations, nonprofits, and individuals. The objective of SABERA is to amplify good in society, the platform has diverse stakeholders and is actively supported by industry stalwarts from large multinationals, changemakers, and policy influencers alike. The platform contributes to building a positive narrative of India’s success by acknowledging inspiring stories of impact and development.
The winners in all categories including Responsible Business, Responsible Business Leader, Promising Responsible Business, and Lifetime Achievement will be announced on December 7th at the NMML, Teen Murti. Register on SABERA or click here to book delegate passes.

Renu Sud Karnad, Chair of the Board of Directors at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd. will continue the role of Jury Chair 3rd year in a row. This year, the two-tier process of selecting Individuals, Entities, and Initiatives putting India on the road to development had been kick-started by the prescreening council comprising domain experts who spearhead sustainability and or ESG in their respective companies. The names include Sapna Bhawnani, VP, Communications & CSR, Alstom Asia-Pacific; Zoya Brar, Founder & Executive Advisor, CORE Diagnostics; Bhuvana Santhanam, CEO, Global Outreach, Prashanthi Balamandira Trust; Dipanwita Chakraborty, Regional Director, Corporate Responsibility, Asia Pacific, Cargill, Praveen Karn, CSR Head, Spark Mind Group, Vikas Bhatia, Dy. GM CSR, Chambel Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd, Seema Ahuja, SVP & Global Head of Communications & Corporate Brand at Biocon Group, and Sanjay Khare, Executive Board Member & Head of Sustainability, Volkswagen. Post the pre-screening round, the final jury meet is scheduled for November 3rd to shortlist the winners.
